Liza Gishen-Kloeckner Principal teacher & founder of @theBarre is a mum of two beautiful adult children and married for 28 years. She comes from a 20 year professional dance career and brings her company experience, stage presence and technical strengths to every beautiful class as a performer, dance expert and choreographer. Offering a warm hearted, caring, holistic and loving approach to her teaching Liza incorporates her expertise as a practicing homoeopath, counsellor and meditation teacher to bring you emotional well- being and support.
Liza started her professional career as a ballerina in 1982. She attended 'The Johannesburg School of the Arts in South Africa. After school, she travelled to the USA to join her first Ballet company, thereafter dancing the national company of Johannesburg.She specialized in pas de deux and Adagio loving the grace and storytelling of partner work as she further branched into contemporary dance with Free Flight Dance Company and her love for modern/jazz/hip hop/street/funk dance took off as she also danced her way with Razzle Jazzle onto SABC and MNET television, film and theatre all for a long, wonderful 20 year professional career!
Today Liza is a Fitness Expert specializing in Pilates, educated in the Stott Pilates method and has trained with some of Australia’s leading experts in the field. She holds advanced Les Mills Body Balance AIM 1 (Advanced Instructor Modules) calling it her "love program" Her own two registered courses with Fitness Australia are unique, innovative and simply pre-choreographed so qualified Instructors and members alike can learn with ease. Liza says "The programs are refreshed on the quarterly so classes are always a surprise, never monotonous and members don't lose motivation!"

With 20 years of contemporary dance, Pilates, Gyrokinesis & Barre experience, Annie is passionate about teaching movement patterns that build a strong, flexible, lengthened and stable body. Her classes have a strong focus on technique, ensuring you get much more out of every hour. You are going to love Annie's classes! She has an intoxicating personality that brings a real sense of fun to her results-based workouts.

Rachell is a super-happy dancer and fitness instructor. The love of dance, movement and expression creates a joyful life of training and performance for Rach. Achieving a Cert IV in Performing Arts with Brent Street and a Cert III + IV in Fitness with Personal Training Academy has also led to becoming a certified Zumba, Sh’Bam, Body Balance and @theBarre Instructor. Witnessing the effects of these programs not only on herself, but on the members of her class has brought her enormous joy and a lifestyle that she must share! She has returned from spending two seasons in Los Angeles, USA training at Debbie Reynold’s Dance Studio and Movement Lifestyle, followed by training intensives in Auckland, New Zealand with The Royal Family. She loves helping people to attain their highest self and to live their happiest life. Rach says: "Bring on the love and sunshine!"
